I purchased a 14K John Deere mower with Mulch-On-Demand, and it has been the biggest disappointment I’ve ever had with John Deere. I’ve owned multiple tractors and mowers from them over the years, and this is by far the worst-performing piece of equipment I’ve bought.
From day one, the mower has left clumps of grass all over the yard. Quality Equipment first told me it was the blades, so I bought new ones. Then they said the grass was wet — even when mowing bone-dry grass, the issue continued. I eventually dropped it off for service, and they claimed everything was “working fine.”
They also told me someone would call me back on Monday to discuss the issue. It’s now been two Mondays — I’m not even sure which one they meant — and I still haven’t received a call.
Meanwhile, a close friend bought the same mower with a 72” deck, and his cuts perfectly with no clumping at all. Clearly something is wrong with mine.
Very disappointed with both the mower and the service response. I expected better from John Deere.
